In this update - Countdown to NABC Online Indiv, Mobile user tips
July 23-26 (Sun-Wed)
In less than 24 hours, the most exciting event BBO has ever hosted will go "live"! With Gold/Red masterpoints and an NABC title at stake, ACBL's first NABC Online Individual will see almost 2500 players competing furiously in a new environment for honor, glory, and the right to call themselves the first NABC Online Individual champion.
Last chance to register!
We are still accepting registrations through July 23, 8PM EDT. However, there are no benefits to doing so at the last minute. In fact you may be self-limiting your possible playtime if you procrastinate! Follow the instructions below and register (for $50, sorry, it is now long past the early bird discount) soon to join the fun!

|
-
Log on BBO
-
Enter ACBL World
-
And look for the ACBL NABC Online Individual
-
The cost is BB$50, and that amount will be subtracted from your BB$ account.
-
If you don't have sufficient BB$, or if we don't have a valid ACBL number for you, you will receive a prompt to rectify either issues before attempting the registration again.

Playing on Mobile Devices
We will be the first to acknowledge our mobile app is not as polished as we hope for. It is a work in progress and we're hard at work on it! In fact, we have exciting news for mobile users soon, but that's for another day. BBO's mobile app is perfectly usable for this event.

|
-
Do not wait for the event day to learn how to navigate the app, and then cry because you cannot figure out how to get to the event area (ie, click the big button that says ACBL World), play a card (ie, select a card and drag or flick it at the middle), or read robot's explanations (ie, tap on the bid in the bidding box). Make sure you play a few test games in advance, on your game day device!
-
Minimize unintentional misclicks by turning on "Confirm Cards" and "Confirm Bids" in Options. (tap the Account icon, then Options to fine-tune your settings)
-
Try to make sure you are connected to a steady wifi signal before you begin. Should you get disconnected for any reason, you can usually come right back in and resume your play. You have a total of 4 hours to complete 24 boards.
-
These are just common sense tips - we want you to enjoy your first NABC Online experience. It is a relaxed, stress-free event, but you have to do your part to optimize your surroundings if you plan on doing well.
-
Final Update and Reminder
ACBL's NABC Online Individual begins July 23, 2017. For the next 4 days, you will need to visit BBO and play at least once a day to continue in the event. 24 boards, 4 hours. Any incomplete boards are flat zeroes, but you have plenty of time to complete all boards daily! Don't leave questions to the last minute. Last chance to resolve technical issues!
May some unspecified Force be with you!
Stay tuned for more information in the coming days. Feedback, comments, questions welcome in the BBO forums.
