AOL users - your computer is blocking BBO from internet access. Please follow the steps below to unblock BBO
AOL users usually have trouble connecting to our site, because of the parental control features, the firewall, and how it works.
The problem arises because these firewalls can be configured to *silently* block attempts to connect to the internet by unknown programs.
Please follow these instructions:
1. Click on : START > CONTROL PANEL > USER ACCOUNTS, and make sure you are running the computer as Administrator.
2. Click on : START > CONTROL PANEL > WINDOWS FIREWALL, and turn it OFF
3.
You need to get to the first file (Safe Sites).
Click on : Start > Control Panel > Security Center > Internet options > Security
Once you find it, click on : Sites and you will get a screen that looks like this.
There, you should type in:
C:\Bridge Base Online\NetBridgeVu.exe
4. Once you have done this, go to this website:
http://online.bridgebase.com
5. Click on : DOWNLOAD
6. Click on : Option 2 - Click here to download.
7. When the pop-up screen comes up it will have three options:
RUN SAVE
CANCEL
Click on : SAVE. Click OK to everything. Accept the security alert. If
it asks you if you want to overwrite the file, say Yes.
Save file bbo_setup to your desktop.
8. When you get the message that file has been saved, close the browser window, and go to your desktop.
9. Double-click on the file: bbo_setup and click on RUN. Then, follow the instructions on your screen
until you see: Finish.
10. Activate your firewall again by doing this:
a. Click : Start > Run, type Firewall.cpl, and then click OK.
b. On the General tab, click On, and then click OK.
11. Now go back to your desktop and click on the BridgeBase Online icon and log
into the program.
