Welcome to BBO!
Navigating around BBO

Getting from here to there on Bridge Base Online (BBO) is a matter of a click of the mouse or a few keystrokes.

In most secondary screens, there is a Back button at the top of your screen. Clicking it takes you to the previous page. If you want to start all over, click the Home button (again at the top of your screen), and that will take you back to the very first page you see when you log on.

You may also see 1 or 2 hamburger selection tools, usually at the top corner of various screens. These provide further options like chatting, logging out, or, when you are at a table, convention card options.

Notice the tabs to the right hand side: Messages, People, History, Account and -- while playing or watching at a table -- Tables.

Finally, the screen is divided vertically and horizontally by two light blue lines. You can click and drag these dividers to adjust the screen to your liking (for instance to make the "History" panel thinner).

Choose from a wide variety of games to play or watch

Solitaire is where you can get a quick, low-stress game when you have no partner online.

Competitive is where you can find all the Tournaments (ACBL, BBO, etc), Challenges, and Team Matches.

BBO Prime is where you can access BBO Prime membership benefits.

Casual adds more casual games to the mix. This is where you will find game options like "Help me find a game" or "Start a table with 3 robots" or "Main Bridge Club" or the list of all public and private clubs.

Practice allows you to work on your bridge via training tools like "Bidding table", "Teaching table", and "Bridge Master".

The "Featured Areas" are shortcuts to the most popular activities on BBO -- the premium ACBL and Robot games as well as Vugraph where you can watch live broadcast of important international events.

How to earn ACBL Masterpoints on BBO

BBO is an ACBL-sanctioned bridge club. Our ACBL games issue ACBL Masterpoints.

Only games that have ACBL in the title award ACBL Masterpoints. You can find all ACBL games in ACBL World.

Most ACBL games cost 1.25 BB$. Regular ACBL games award colorless masterpoints, but count for rank advancement the same as any other club points. Occasionally we run events like the NABC Robot Individual that issue red and gold points and have a higher entry fee.

We need to know your ACBL number in order to report any points you may win to the ACBL. You can Update your ACBL number in ACBL World, or by clicking here.

You will need to purchase some Bridge Base Online Dollars (BB$) to pay the entry fees. Click the BB$ button at the top of the screen, or use this form to purchase BB$.

For questions, comments or assistance with ACBL games you can reach us at acbl@bridgebase.com.
