BBO offers players the
option to rent a robot as your
partner in a pair tournament. You may have seen already
players partnering robots in their favorite tourneys. How can you play
with a robot in tourney?
You can only register with a robot from the web version
of BBO. Registering with a robot is not free, it costs BB$ 0.25.
To start using BBO's latest version go to www.bridgebase.com
and click the yellow link Click
to Play or Watch Bridge.
Click List
all tourneys.
Look for your favorite Pairs tournament, and
click Register. (Do keep in mind TDs can choose whether their tourneys would allow robot partners. You can only rent a robot partner in a tourney where TD chooses to turn this option on.)
Click on Play
with robot ($0.25).
That's all - you are now registered to play with your robot partner in
the tournament.
When you play with a robot all bids with defined meanings
are auto-alerted and explained.
Mouse over a bid to see what it means. Similarly, before you make a
bid, mouse over it in the bidding box to see what your robot thinks
your bid means.
